The EU Neighbourhood Info Centre’s latest handbook, Writing to Grab Attention, addresses these challenges in a simple and animated way. It aims at helping those involved in projects understand issues such as what good writing is, why it’s important to have a catchy title and an introduction that tells the story, and why technical jargon and terms of reference don’t make good communication material.

The 26-page handbook is divided into: Common writing Challenges, Writing for the Media and Examples and more. It is available online in English, French, Arabic and Russian. Writing to Grab Attention is the fourth in a series of handbooks produced by the EU Neighbourhood Info Centre in a bid to build the capacity of and support to EU-funded projects.
The others are: A Photographer’s Handbook (2012), A Journalist’s Handbook (2011) and Multi-country Cooperation Instruments and Thematic Tools (2010).
