Innovation Circle: Why, in your opinion, IC network is important? What makes it useful and attractive?
Rita Merca: IC network is very important because it brings together active, enthusiastic people from different countries, different valuable experience who want to develop their own communities and professional skills through networking and participation . People make it attractive and useful!
IC: What are your objectives and expectations for the conference in Vilnius? Maybe you already have some ideas about future projects?
R.M: Objective is to meet network members, to show that IC network is active and enlarging. I hope to get inspiration and new ideas for future cooperation, I will be happy to meet friends.
IC: Tell us a little bit about your town. Which places do you like best? Which place in town is your favorite?
R.M: I live in Cesis and my working place more than 15 years has been located there.
Cesis is very well known for its historical background and special spirit. I am happy for town development last 10 years. It is not sleeping place but attractive not only in summer with open-air concerts, art festivals, trade fairs but in winter as well because of popular downhill skiing slope and different winter attractions . Many people chose Cesis for living and recreation.. My favorite place in the town is the Maija Park in the very centre with nice lighted up fountains and black swan’s family.
IC: What in your opinion makes cities attractive? What is necessary to create a friendly community?
R.M: Many components are important for attractiveness of place: good job and education opportunities, availability of kindergartens, clean and safe environment, cultural and sport activities, cafes, shops. For friendly community it is necessary to have not only good infrastructure but also motivated, progressive–minded community leaders and support of local people.
R.M: If one door closing for you, another is opening ( will be open)!
IC hopes that Trans in Form project coordinators’ words inspired you and you cannot wait to share your thoughts and find partners for projects to be implemented! Remember to always use your potential! And we say that Innovation Circle Network is arguably a good place to start!
