“Let’s do it 2009” Supported by Presidents of Lithuania and Latvia Republics
The meeting in Riga was a place for the organizers to share their experiences in different countries and agreed to continue cooperation in the future. People working with the project were talking about implementing the project at least for ten years more and make the Baltic Sea Region the cleanest one in the world.
The action “Let’s do it 2009” is a project for voluntary cleaning up garbage in the country you live. The project first time was initiated in Estonia by some idealistic people and became an international activity. How the Estonians managed to gather 50thousand volunteers (4% of Estonian nation) and collect 10tones of garbage or 10kilos for each Estonian or 200kilos for each action participant during one day, you can see on a video here:
