Cooperation between the LALRG and the three associations from Azerbaijan (Association of City-Municipalities of Azerbaijan, Association of Settlement Municipalities of Azerbaijan, Association of Village Municipalities ) was established for many years and is successfully continuing.
During the visit the Latvian delegation met with the Minister of Justice of Azerbaijan Mr. Fikret Mammandov, Head of Administration of the President of Azerbaijan Mr. Ramiz Mehdijev, and representatives of regional and local self-government associations of Azebaijan. During the visit parties reached an agreement to submit a joint project proposal, as well as defined further cooperation ways. Currently, Azerbaijan has possibility to get finance from the EU within the framework of the EuropeAid Development and Co-operation programme.”
