The IC Network Annual conference is going to take place 29-30 November in Lithuania and will invite all the IC members officially very soon. The topic this year will be connected to advantages in the Baltic Sea Region. Taste the treasures of BSR! The conference as always in the IC Network will bring several competent and innovative experts. The board is working on more information that will reach you in IC newsletters and webpage.

In 2010 and 2011 the Network is going to focus on projects concerning small city development and attractiveness, tourism and recreation facilities, green energy, youth entrepreneurship. All the interested institutions to these topics may contact IC secretariat to become the future project partners.

When it comes to youth projects, IC Network has a plan to have at least one event for youths during a year. This year the Network is considering to have a youth winter camp in Scandinavia, as all the previous camps were taking place in the Baltics in summertime. The Network is looking for ways to make the happening to be a real youth event, avoiding fancy phrases and concentrating on youth inspiration and energy instead.

All in all, the IC Network  board representing 6 countries is very motivated and looking ahead. The mission of the IC Network is to create attractive communities and competitive regions outside the metropolitan areas. Globalisation and financial troubles are creating challenges but in the same time new opportuinities. The destiny of places is still decided by people and people alone.

We promise to come back to you with our monthly newsletters and give you all the opportunities to be involved in IC events and activities. Don’t miss it!
