The youth enterprise is a part of one of the schools many branches of study. The second grade students of this branch create their own short-time companies and try to survive in the market selling a service or a product they have created.

The school is also an 'Environmental Lighthouse'. It means that school makes an effort in sorting garbage, reducing the amount of waste resources and reducing the schools energy consumption.

The school has approximately 160 employees, including all the personnel and about 900 students study here as well.

Entrepreneurship

Askim Upper Secondary School in recent years invested in secondary businesses. The school has been successful in championships and won various awards. School’s youth enterprises have participated in the championship for the Company several times and was champions of Norway for the last time in 2006. Every year several students at the school are involved in youth enterprises and school usually has about 10-15 companies in the course of a school year.
