Barbecuing and socialising, interesting presentations and workshops dealing with topics like equality, voting, gender and climate change and not to forget a Soccer and Volleyball Tournament – this is ICN Summer Camp 2011. The scenic town of Ørje (Norway) will provide the scenery for this year’s event. To get an impression of the venue have a look at the Slusefestival in Ørje.

The international Summer Youth Camp aims to raise awareness about European politics and to build networks among the leaders of tomorrow. Adult youth leaders and young people from 16 to 22 are welcome to join. All partners who register youths under the age of 18 should send an adult leader.

There is no participation fee. Accommodation, meals, local transport and program is covered by the organizer.  However, there is a limited number of places, so the organizer will have the right to decide how many attendees can be accepted from each partner. Good English skills as well as a more than general interest in world politics are a must. Active and communicative youths are preferred, minimum 16 years old, maximum 22.

This event is a non-alcohol/drugs event. Any violation against these rules will result to immediate return to home.

Ryanair and Norwegian have cheap tickets to Rygge Airport or Gardermoen Airport. Air Baltic, SAS, LOT, Aeroflot or others have also many available cheap tickets.

The event is organized in cooperation with Indre Østfold Youth Council. Any question can be addressed to camp manager Ms. Linn-Aurora Wengen.
