Ewelina A. Suchocka is a member of the ICN board since 2007, when the network was established. Since then she helped to effectively implement several projects such as TRANS IN FORM or Young Eyes working as a coordinator.
Her 17 years of experience in working with international EU projects as project coordinator, manager and specialist are an important benefit for the network. Ewelina was mainly involved in promotional projects for the City of Suwalki and Suwalszczyzna Region and also dealt with educational, youth and infrastructural projects. For ten years she worked in the Regional Development Agency in Suwalki, (1994-2004). During that time she participated in the project „Empowerment for young women managers from Eastern Europe” financed by the USA ID within International Professional Exchange, including a five-week programme in Philadelphia in 1995 and membership in European Women Management Development (EWMD).
For one and a half year Ewelina worked in the Polish-Lithuanian Chamber of Commerce in Suwalki (2004-2006), where she was manager of the European Integration Department, implementing EU projects and supporting SMEs. For twelve years she is part of the team of Suwalki Municipality, including seven years in the Strategy and Development department (strategic planning, international cooperation, EU projects), two years in the City Promotion Department and the last three years in the City Mayor’s Office as a chief specialist for international cooperation and EU projects.
Ewelina graduated in agriculture (1992), Engineer and Master in Agriculture Science of Warminsko-Mazurski University in Olsztyn, Poland. Including six months vocational practice in Sweden, (1990). Two years of the post diploma studies at the Warsaw School Economics: Marketing and management, (1992-1993) and Management in self government unites taking into consideration experiences of EU and the USA (1999-2000).
